Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 3 Download 50 - How to Install and Use the Software

Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 3 (BACS) is a software tool that allows you to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Broadcom network adapters. BACS can also be used to configure DASH out-of-band management, which enables remote access and control of your system even when it is powered off or has no operating system installed. In this article, we will show you how to download, install, and use BACS on your Windows system.

How to Download BACS

To download BACS, you need to have a Broadcom network adapter installed on your system and a valid support contract with Broadcom. You can find the list of supported network adapters on the [Broadcom Support Portal]. To download BACS, follow these steps:

  • Log in to the [Broadcom Support Portal] with your credentials.

  • Click on the "Download Center" tab and select "Cyber Security Software".

  • Search for "Broadcom Advanced Control Suite" or select it from the list of products.

  • Find the latest version of BACS for your operating system and click on the download icon.

  • Save the zip file to your desired location and extract it.

You can also download BACS from other sources, such as the [Fujitsu Support Portal], but make sure that the version is compatible with your network adapter and operating system.

How to Install BACS

To install BACS, you need to have administrator privileges on your system. To install BACS, follow these steps:

  • Open the extracted folder of BACS and double-click on the setup.exe file.

  • Follow the instructions on the screen and accept the license agreement.

  • Select the components that you want to install. You can choose between BACS GUI, BACS CLI, DASH Configuration Tool, and DASH Firmware Update Tool.

  • Click on "Install" and wait for the installation to complete.

  • Restart your system if prompted.

How to Use BACS

To use BACS, you need to have a Broadcom network adapter enabled on your system. To use BACS, follow these steps:

  • Open the Start menu and search for "Broadcom Advanced Control Suite" or "BACS".

  • Select the BACS application from the list of results.

  • You will see a window with four tabs: Team Management, Statistics, Configuration, and Diagnostics.

  • Select the tab that corresponds to the task that you want to perform. For example, if you want to create a team of network adapters for load balancing or fault tolerance, select the "Team Management" tab.

  • Follow the instructions on the screen and apply the changes as needed.

You can also use BACS CLI (command-line interface) to perform some tasks without opening the GUI. To use BACS CLI, open a command prompt window and type "bacscli" followed by the parameters that you want to use. For example, if you want to display the status of all network adapters on your system, type "bacscli -status". You can find more information about BACS CLI commands and parameters in the [BACS User Guide].
